Crazy Filipino Thriller Video is Actually Even Crazier.
Is that whole Filipino prisoner "Thriller" dance
routine as funny if you knew the prisoners were forced, sometimes brutally, to
get their groove on?
CPDRC video is a creation of Byron Garcia, a security consultant with the
Filipino prison system, not to mention the brother of the governor and son of a
senator of the Philippine government.

raises some suspicions.
was created was Byron’s love of music, that’s why last year he thought of
having these people dance. At first, it was really hard to make them

So, well we, we, did some, ya know, uh, some disciplinary measures."

Apparently, he’s also tattooing female prisoners with the

care free than we originally thought…

Jailhouse ‘Thriller’ Has Chilling Background Story…
The first time we saw this video of Filipino inmates dancing to Thriller, we remember thinking, “… Dude, how were 1500 inmates at a Cebu prison coaxed into a coordinated syncopated jamboree?” We didn’t have long to wonder. Security……
This is the first time I’ve heard of such a report. My first thought was "We have a senator named Garcia?" No, Byron Garcia is not a senator’s son. He is, however, the brother of Cebu governor, Gwen Garcia. Their father is a retired judge.Yes, Byron is a consultant in his sister’s office. The segment mentioned that came from a leading Filipino television network came from this article. I’m not exactly sure about those tattoos. On the one hand, it could be true. On the other hand, it might not be so because the initial report already has several inaccuracies. Of course, the tattoos exist but the story behind it is something that needs to be verified. In the Philippines, it’s usual for prisoners to have tattoos while in prison. Some are done voluntarily. Some are forced to get one. I’m not saying Garcia didn’t do it. I’m saying there are errors in the report. Therefore, the probability that Garcia forced the women inmates to have tattoos need confirmation.
You are quick to criticize the video, but fail to offer a better alternative. From your bio, you live in Texas. What are the prisoners in Texas doing except for stabbing each other with shanks? At least the Philippines government is offering some sort of activity to help rehabilitate their inmates. You say that the prisoners are being forced to perform, but have you ever seen the inside of a prison in the Philippines? I’m sure that the prisoners are willing to do anything to quickly pass the time.
