I posted about this back in March, and now the rumors have proven true.
7-Eleven will be making over a dozen of their storefronts (overnight) to look like Quik-E-Marts to kick off The Simpsons Movie. The efforts are part of a month-long on-premise campaign.
After the Aqua Teen Hunger Force guerilla marketing "bomb scare," I’m glad the Omnicom folks decided to avoid Boston on this one. There clearly would have been rampant arrests for trespassing and destruction of property. Instead, stores will be made over in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Burbank, Calif., Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New
York, Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Seattle, Mountain View, California,
Bladensburg, MD, and Coquitlam, B.C., Canada.
