CEO with attitude

I want to move to Europe.  Your ads take way more risks.  Love that.

Would also love to know how they pulled off the transitions from steadicam in the office to what appears to be a helicopter shot at the end.

Many thanks to Robert Bermingham for this find.

Something funky happens at around 1:05 and at 0:26. It’s hard to tell in low quality youtube video how much is CG. Still, amazing how seamless the rest of the cuts are.

Gah!  It’s driving me insane!!!  Is there anyone out there that knows who produced this?  Would love to find out how they pulled off the transitions!  ;)

The ad is called ‘St George’ and was created by HHCL/Red Cell in London. It was directed by Colin Gregg through production company Eclipse, which is no longer around. Post was through Framestore CFC which coninues to regularly rock our media world with amazing work of every ilk. I think this spot first aired in 1996, but it’s still a belter eleven years later. There’s a brief description on the Framestore website - they could probably provide ‘How did they do that?’ details for you. Aternatively the ad was covered in Shots magazine when it first appeared… if you’re nice to somebody there they might send a copy of the article.
