A Renault for the “suit” in all of us

It’s pretty rare for a car commercial to actually make me laugh.
So Kudos to Publicis Conseil. My question after looking at the effort put into this ad is what is the connection? Sports? Are they trying to make me think of this car as a Sports Utility Vehicle?
Or as an enabler for my buried sports desires?
But I certainly like it more than the endless curving road and slow-motion shots of most car ads.

About strange car commercial, I uploaded a belgian commercial on youtube: http://badideaindeed.wordpress.com/2007/04/29/no-compassion-no-mercy/
The ad itself is very classic but listen to the lyrics of the song…
Hey Philippe,
Love the link you gave. That has to be the most inappropriate music I’ve heard on a car ad.
That’s called the "Fosbury Flop". It’s the most common technique for high jump. As a former high jumper, I can relate to the ad. If only they could’ve added the sound of my right knee popping loudly as it snapped, it would’ve been even better. Oh well, nice try… They need a good triple jump one next. Maybe even somebody race walking to the car… that’d be HI-Larious!
Pretty nice forum, wants to see much more on it!
