I dont know. Seems like they they intended for the green strawberry stem to take the place for the "L." Either way, Google definitely dropped the ball (although Yahoo! is a perpetual loser at this game). I could do better.
Who are you to say that you can do any better? This is a billion-dollar website. How could yahoo be a perpetual loser if yahoo mail is more popular than gmail.
How can you say Google "dropped the ball" when they spelled their own name wrong? Without Yahoo!, there would be no Google.
Why all the furor directed towards AK? Jeez, guys, maybe take a couple breaths?
Oh, and I don’t think there’s any question that Googe is kicking Yahoo’s ass all over the place (just look at the stock prices). I don’t know if I’d call Yahoo a perpetual loser, mainly because I use so many of their services.
That said, gmail kicks yahoo mail’s ass.
And, anonymous, that’s the dumbest comment ever. Without Yahoo, there’d be no google? you don’t think someone would think the ability to search all this information would be a good idea without Yahoo?
Looks like it was intentional..http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=googe leo
Guys… all I meant was that Yahoo! does a poor job when it comes to graphically styling its Yahoo! logo image on special occasions/holidays (e.g. it’s valentines looks with two couples = bad). In other words, Yahoo! tries to spiff up its look, but its always so unoriginal. I wasn’t referring to their services what so ever. Since Google has set the expectations so high with its special, creative logo looks, its latest exhibit was pretty lackluster. Oh, and the personal remark was just for emphasis. Are we clear? Sorry for the confusion.

Despite their claim to subtlety, I still think it looks like a mistake. I guess the joke’s on me.
[...] The point of removing the “web” out of “webwizard” was to make copy Google’s Valentines logo by dropping letters from it’s special. [...]
