The “Fairies” at Dodge
Did anyone NOTICE that the Dodge Caliber commercial has changed?
It is the one with the cute flying fairy that changes everything to cute stuff. Like a building, a train. Then she goes after the dodge, and gets smashed into the wall. At that point, a tough guy walking his dog points at her and says quote “Silly Little Fairy”, and she changes him into clothes that may have suggested that she turned HIM into a homosexual. Actually, to me, he looked like a prep, and it was funny. CREATIVE.
I guess someone complained, because the guy no longer says fairy at all. He just laughs.
Wow. I think Dodge pissed someone off, but I think what is done is done, and it was a good spot. Just an observation that I had. If you watch hockey, you can catch it on OLN tonight - they run it all the time.

Saw it last night, it was still the ‘Silly little fairie’ version. I do remember reading that ’some’ people were complaining about the ad. Reminds me of Dr Scholls changing the commercial for their shoe gells, after some complained about the ‘I’m gellin’….like a felon’ line, which was changed to the incredibly lame ‘I’m gellin’….like Magellan’.
According to AdRants, a gay advocacy group complained about the ad some time ago. Dodge thumbed their nose at them at the time, stating that it was ironic that such an organization would draw such a stereotypical conclusion about the man based solely on his appearance. I guess increased pressure forced a change. I guess the Gay Dodge Owner market was just too strong.
