Now this is too cool. Toshiba has developed a
cellphone technology that will allow you to get product reviews about any item you are considering buying, simply by using your cellphone’s digital camera to take a picture of the package’s barcode. Considering buying the new Kanye West CD and you want to know what others are saying about it? Simply snap a pic of the CD’s barcode, and wait for the results! The information is sent to Toshiba’s server, which will then scan blogs to see what the blogosphere is saying about the product, and then send the results to your cellphone, giving you a positive or negative recommendation!
The bad news is, this service might not be available until April of next year.
