Is it an animated movie or a 2-hour Charles Schwab commercial?

AdFreak and Movie Marketing Madness have the lowdown on the new Richard Linklater movie A Scanner Darkly. If the style of animation looks familar, it’s the same look that you’ve seen in the recent Charles Schwab commercials, ie ‘Bob Sabiston’s pioneering “interpolated rotoscoping†technology’(nod again to AdFreak). Not sure if that’s a good thing, since I’m already getting tired of the commercials.
And besides that, is it possible for Woody Harrelson to be in a movie and it do anything other than bomb? Course Winona Ryder is hot even in cartoon form.

That style of animation, rotoscoping, was around long before Schwab thought it would be an inventive way to bore their audience.
Rent the movie “Waking Life” which was released in 2001, and done completely in that animation. It was directed by Richard Linklater, who also directed “A Scanner Darkly.”
BTW, Waking Life happens to be my #1 favorite movie of all time.
