Are you really? I remember seeing some comments you had posted from the sister of one of the contestants, or something like that. Why not see if they’ll let you interview them for your blog? Or maybe AI has some stipulation that they can’t give interviews while the show is airing?

Thanks Andrea, it was great to talk to Erin to not only hear Nettwerk’s amazing story (Love this quote: We’re in the business of developing artists, we’re not in the business of creating artists for revenue.”), but to also talk to a person that works daily with some of the biggest musicians in the world, and artists that I have loved for years.

And something that didn’t show up in the interview, but she made a point not to say a cross word about her competitors. Even when she talked about the different culture at Nettwerk, she was quick to point out that she feels that the rest of the industry is heading where Nettwerk already is.

Couple her comments with the stance that Nettwerk CEO Terry McBride took this week against the RIAA, and it’s obvious that Nettwerk has a business model in place that’s hard for other labels to replicate: That is, they truly love their industry and artists, and want what’s best for their artists and their fans. Revenue is secondary, and will come if you take care of the artists and their fans first.

Netwerk gets this, most of their competitors don’t.

Great interview. Not only did I enjoy reading about Nettwerkâ€™s approach to serving their clients (â€œwe work for them, we are their employeesâ€), but I appreciate the fact that this is original material you posted here. Hopefully an example of the true potential of blogs.
