Not even three years ago True. When I finished school none of the prof's were encouraging websites. Everything was still all about the mini-book. I believe that's still the case now, based on what I've heard from friends who finished after I did.

Yes, mini-books still work. But for the price of two or three mini's, I can host a website for an entire year. I could have saved literally hundreds of dollars if I'd taken the time to get a website up right out of school rather than waiting a few months.

I haven't gone as far as building my own website yet, but electronic samples seem to definitely be the way to go now.

And to think, just three years ago me and everyone i graduated ad school with was cobbling together print minibooks and mailing them out in big manila envelopes. Then we rode our horse-drawn carriages to the coliseum to watch dinosaurs and sabertooth tigers fight to the death.
