I think women make great AE’s

I have seen many great account managers that our women……I think in general women have better communication skills, especially LISTENING that clients really appreciate.
Plus, women are easier to trust to clients for some reason. I get the feeling that some of my women clients, now and in the past, are intimidated by working with a male AE……they think we are only out to make a buck….
I guess it all depends on the account. Like automotive - a women might have a hard time entertaining clients at a strip club and then helping them find a date for the night….
We see it all, don’t we?

It’s funny, the longer I work, the less I think gender has anything to do with stereotypical work expectations. I’ve met as many bull-headed women as I’ve met bull-headed men, just as I’ve met as many men who are good listeners as I’ve met women who are.
I guess I’m responsing to the generality of the statement. For me, it all comes down to the individual.
But, of course, everyone has a right to their own opinion. That’s just mine.
